With rental prices going through the roof in the Netherlands and cities such as Groningen and Utrecht being either too far or too damn expensive when it comes to the housing market; there’s one interesting alternative that should especially attract all you internationals: The Hague!

Think about why you might want to buy a place in The Hague. It’s near the Sea and the lovely beach town of Scheveningen, plenty of international institutions, it’s a proper big city and god knows the Netherlands doesn’t have too much of those scattered around the country. And furthermore, it’s neatly in between cities as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden and Utrecht. Anything else?

Oh yeah, it can be really really pretty (The Beauty The Hague photo Kevin Coellner)

The ‘How to buy a house’ event in The Hague

So tons of reasons to be interested in buying a house in the Hague and the- what’s in a name-  ‘How to buy a house’ event on the 30th of September at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Right off the bat: DON’T WORRY IT’S COMPLETELY FREE (always good to hear that right?)

The good people of the ‘HTBAH’ event will get you all the information you need and there will also be ample time to ask your personal questions in a 1-on-1 setting with some A-list experts. Obviously, but still good to hear, all is done in English – which is good because ‘hypotheekrenteaftrekteruggave’ is both impossible to pronounce and understand in Dutch for most of you reading this.

It’s being held at the COMM museum, which by itself is a cool place to visit. And the extra good news about that is that there is even a nanny-service present to watch your little ones and you can freely visit the museum after the event.
