Why you should check out WooHah festival this weekend!

Unsure what to do this weekend? Why not to be spontaneous and book tickets to WOO HAH near Tilbur! Why? Well…

  1. It’s a festival
  2. In the Netherlands countryside
  3. During summer

Need I say more?

WOO HAH! Festival is happening this weekend from 12 to 14 July at the Beekse Bergen near Tilburg. For three days, the outdoor venue transforms into an epic hip-hop getaway with over 30,000 visitors a day and over 60 live acts.

Who you should see at Woo Hah

The headliners this year feature Stormzy and Travis Scott. Stormzy’s epic Glastonbury performance bodes well for WooHah and Travis Scott is renowned for putting on a powerful show.

What if I am being dragged along but hate the music?

No worries! There are ample places on the beach or in the forest where festival-goers, who are already fed up with it, can retreat.

How to get to the festival?

The closest station to the festival site is Tilburg Central Station and shuttle buses run to and from here to the festival site.

If you’re travelling back to another city in the Netherlands, bear in mind that the festival finishes at 3am each night and trains will no longer be running at this time. Visit NS to plan your journey accordingly.

If you want a balanced weekend then you can cycle to the festival and park your bike on the racks provided at the entrance to the festival.

Where to stay?

Camp WOO HAH! is sold out for this year but there are accommodation options in Eindhoven or Tilburg. Check hostels or AirBnB!

Tickets

Weekend tickets excluding camping = €134
Friday day ticket = €53,90
Saturday day ticket = €75,90
Sunday day ticket = Sold out

Additional tickets for parking and shuttle busses can be bought through the WOOHAH! website here: https://woohahfestival.com/

What else happens in Tilburg?

Woohah is only one of many events held in Tilburg. Check out this article about the events for 2019 and if you’re visiting, or check out their recently developed Spoorpark or Doloris while you’re there! All top notch stuff from the sixth city of the Netherlands.

Freya was born in Edinburgh but raised in New Zealand (cue every person she meets saying “oh I have always wanted to go there but it’s so far away!”). A restless and curious nature has led her to move countries 5 times in the last 3 years in attempt to find a place she can call home. She contacted DutchReview on a whim and arrived in the Netherlands in summer 2019 to start her internship.
