Check your ING account: you could have been charged twice!

Check your ING account…

ING is currently experiencing a bit of a failure today, when people woke up to find that money had been taken out of their bank account twice. This is meant to affect around 3 million payments made on the 19th of March.

I’m one of the 3 million

Okay, so after this news I checked ING app and they’ve taken a Dirk transaction out twice. The weirdest thing is I didn’t make any transactions yesterday, I’d made them on the 19th. They’d been taken out on the 20th and then debited again today. The exact same Dirk transaction (date and time), but today I find they’ve decided to take it out again. Luckily it’s only a small transaction, so it’s not going to break the bank until they put it back in again. Even so, it’s not a great start is it?

Um no, that’s my money ING

Why is it so bad? Well what about the people who made a large transaction, have been double charged and now have no money (or are in the red)? They’re going to have to borrow money until ING gives it back. Unfortunately, ING can’t say when everyone’s money is going to be given back. They ensure it will be as quickly as possible, but with an estimated 3 million incorrect transactions, it might take time.

JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.
