Friction between ‘Oranje’ squad members after Feyenoord-PSV

After an eventful match in the Rotterdam Stadium ‘De Kuip’, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the homeside Feyenoord, a ruckus broke out in the tunnels after the match. Showing that being rich and successful in life doesn’t guarantee having style and manners, Dutch international Jeremain Lens sandbagged fellow international Joris Mathijsen. Things escalated fairly quickly afterwards, with players from both teams getting involved. After half a minute, when everybody realized the stupidity of the whole situation, things calmed down.

Here’s some, for a change quality, video material from the fight.

Sadly, this is the best violent situations we get in Dutch Football. Italy and England are laughing in our faces.

He has a Masters in Political Science and IT but somewhere always wanted to study history or good old football. He also a mortgage in the Netherlands and will happily tell you too how to get one. Born and raised in Rotterdam, Abuzer now lives in Leiden but is always longing back to his own international year in Italy.
