Formula 1: Grand Prix of the Netherlands returns to Zandvoort in May 2020

Good news to all Formula 1 followers – the Zandvoort circuit will open up again for the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in May 2020! We don’t know the exact date yet, but we should know soon enough. According to NOS, a three-year contract has been concluded for this circuit.

Formula 1 will be returning to the dune circuit after 35 years. With Heineken as the title sponsor, the entire project for 2020 is worth about 40 million euros. Other big names who will be joining are Talpa, PON, Gazelle, Jumbo, and Volker-Wessels.

it also poses a “logistical challenge“, where the accessibility of the location needs to be worked out thoroughly. ProRail has said that it would be difficult to transport people to the resort within hours because the present railway is completely unsuitable. So they have to work out how to get people to the location.

How excited are you for this? Are you an avid Formula 1 follower? Let us know in the comments below!

She envisions herself to one day be the youngest person to win that Nobel Prize for Literature (she is also not very humble but welcomes only constructive criticism). In the meantime, she fills her days with writing for DutchReview, writing her master's thesis on art theft, and writing fiction that will hopefully see the light of day soon.
