The drought is not going away yet…
The Netherlands is set for another dry week, resulting in a drought still continuing. It’s been a weird ol’ year, as we suffered from a drought that lasted for weeks and weeks this summer. So far we have only had to deal with light showers, so it’s resulted in low water levels. With only 9 days left until November, it’s still looking dry and not just by Dutch standards. So with this in mind, here is the weather for the week ahead!
When it’s not raining in the Netherlands…
Today (Monday)
Today has been a dry day so far, with sunny outbreaks and generally not too cold. The evening is going to remain dry and go down to around 8 degrees Celcius. So wrap up if you’re out tonight, you may feel an autumn chill.
Tuesday
Tuesday is looking dry, but very overcast, so don’t expect to see the sunshine for too long! Temperatures will reach highs of 15 degrees Celsius and will go down to lows of around 9 degrees.
Wednesday
Wednesday is another dry day AGAIN of course, with very little sun. The temperature isn’t too bad though for this time of year – with highs reaching 16 degrees Celsius and lows only dropped a couple of degrees down to 14.
Thursday
Thursday is looking dry again, with only outbreaks of sunshine (urgh). Temperatures will reach 13 degrees Celsius and drop down a degree to 12.
Friday
For some parts of the country, there is a chance of drizzle throughout the day, but this is not enough to warrant significant rainfall to take us out of a drought. Temperatures will reach around 12 degrees Celcius and drop down to 10.
So as you can see, the weather is looking a boring as hell, but dry. We are yet to see if the weather is going to come back with a vengeance!
