Bye, bye snow – hello rain!
Temperatures have increased enough that most of us can kiss goodbye to the snow and welcome back the rain (for the next few days at the very least).
The only good news is that this will wash away the remaining snow and/or the higher temperatures will melt it. Over the past couple of days, a lot of the snow in some areas didn’t really melt but turned into black ice, which is lethal to walk on (my area was literally like an ice rink everywhere).
Let’s get started on what the weather brings us over the weekend:
Today
Today is going to be a grey day, with some chances of light rain showers throughout the day. The morning will remain cold, but throughout the day the temperatures will rise significantly from below freezing, up to around 8 degrees Celsius.
Saturday
Throughout most of Saturday expect heavy drizzle and a really grey day overall. Temperatures will reach both a low and a high of 8 degrees. So it’s much warmer than we’ve been used to recently.
Sunday
Sunday is a really wet day (urgh)! Expect heavy rain throughout the day and yet another grey and miserable day. There’s not much more to say about that. *Cry*
Next week
Next week is looking to be a mixed bag of rainy days and snowy days. At the start of the week because the temperatures are higher, expect heavy rain showers, then once we get towards the end of next week, the snow is expected to return! So if you’re already feeling at a loss about the lack of snow – well, it looks like you won’t have to wait much longer. 😉
