With the new year just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to tackle that resolution to learn a new language. Taalhuis‘ upcoming open day is your chance to learn about not only their Dutch courses but also their many Mediterranean language courses — all in the heart of Amsterdam.

On Sunday, December 15, Taalhuis is opening its doors for a fun and informative open day and borrel at its brand-spanking-new location in De Pijp. ✨

You’ll not only be one of the first to see the new school, but you’ll also get a chance to find out what Taalhuis is all about.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Taalhuis translates to “language house”. It’s a house for languages offering courses in Dutch, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic, Turkish, Hebrew, French, Catalan, Latin and English.

The teachers at Taalhuis are dedicated native speakers from all corners of the world, eager to help you kick-start or continue your language-learning journey.

What can I expect from the open day?

Ready to dive into a fun day of learning? At Taalhuis’ open day, you’ll get an opportunity to meet your future classmates and teachers, and learn all about the different courses on offer at Taalhuis.

The day kicks off at 1 PM with a welcome presentation, followed by a packed program of trial lessons and activities.

🌍 Trial lessons: Explore Taalhuis’ language courses by joining free trial lessons for both children and adults.

📚 Level assessments: Take an intake session to find the perfect course for your level and goals.

🎉 Borrel and market: Enjoy drinks and snacks while browsing Taalhuis’ language-themed merch, mingling with teachers and students, and getting a feel for the Taalhuis community.

📖 Bookstand: Grab or donate books to the school’s library — children’s books, comics, and easy-readers are especially welcome!
