Choosing a primary school for your child? Explore ISA at its Primary Years Open House this November

Choosing the right primary school for your child can often feel like a major gamble, especially in a new country. Thankfully, this open house at the International School of Amsterdam could make the decision a whole lot easier. 👇

Got a little one between the ages of two and 10? On Thursday, November 12, you can spend the morning at the International School of Amsterdam (ISA) and get a feel for its Primary Years Programme at their open house from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM.

A morning of (officially approved!) classroom snooping

The morning kicks off with an introduction to the school from the Primary School Leadership team. From there, you’ll get a proper look at how ISA approaches learning for younger children.

From Pre-School to Grade 5, students follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). It’s what the school calls “transdisciplinary”, which means lessons aren’t boxed into separate subjects. Instead, the focus is on connecting ideas across subjects and learning about the world more broadly.

Here’s what’s planned:

👋 Meet the leadership team: An introduction to ISA and the PYP from the Primary School Leadership team
📚 Get to know the PYP: Learn how the programme works from Pre-School to Grade 5
🏫 Tour the campus: See the purpose-built learning spaces and meet the Primary Years teachers
🤝 Connect with the community: Find out how the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) brings families and staff together
⚽ After-school life: Discover the After School Care, Vacation Care, and a plethora of after-school activities on offer

You’ll also get to meet some of ISA’s students and ask questions about the curriculum, community, and admissions process.

Prima! Give me all the details
