Enjoy an explosive action comedy this October at DeLaMar in Amsterdam
Do you dig theatre, action films, and a dash of 80s nostalgia? Boy, do we have the perfect play for you!
After a successful spring edition, Amsterdam’s DeLaMar is swinging open its doors again for this high-octane action comedy on October 23, 24, and 25.
Titled A Fine Mess, this play draws inspiration from cult classics of the 80s, like Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. But make no mistake, this performance is more than just a tribute to the good old days. 👇
A small-town story, with blockbuster energy
What happens when debt, desperation, and bad timing collide? You get A Fine Mess!
Set in a remote desert town, the story follows a young woman, her brother, and their sick mother. Trapped in a seemingly endless cycle of poverty, the trio make a last-ditch effort to pull themselves out of a sticky situation: robbing a gas station.
Helaas, what starts as a small-time heist spirals into a whirlwind of guns, betrayal, and chaos — culminating in a thrilling finale, with a twist you won’t see coming.
In addition to the gripping plot, the story comes alive through:
📻 Music designed to transport you back to the 80s
🤣 Outrageous slapstick that’ll have you laughing out loud
✨ Dazzling special effects that’d make IMAX jealous
