On November 28 and 29, DeLaMar in Amsterdam invites you to enjoy a poetic physical performance titled We Don’t Live Here Anymore that will challenge your reasoning as well as your imagination.
Follow the story of two couples, seemingly closely connected, as they become caught up in a web of desires, guilt, and betrayal.
Is it pure passion, an escape from the mundane, or a deep emptiness that drives them? Secrets are whispered and the truth is twisted.
Why is this performance unique?
In the show, we hear the characters’ dialogues as voice-overs in English, while their emotional lives are visualised by the performers’ bodies in Ahlbom’s unique language of movement.
What discomfort can arise when choices made in the past start to feel restrictive?
Instead of contenting themselves with what is, the characters search for what could be, reeling the spectator and allowing him to feel the pain, doubts, and strength of lovers in transformation.
