Last week, the French regulator recalled a whopping seven million condoms from the EU due to a risk of tearing. Now, Dutch consumers are being warned to keep an eye out as some brands are available in the Netherlands.
According to the NOS, the recall concerns ultra thin condoms sold by no less than 10 different brands: Vitalis, Releaf, Einhorn, My Lubie, Primeros, Adloran, You & Me, Amor, R&S Consumer Goods, and ON.
These condoms are primarily available online, although some have also hit the shelves.
Take a look at those serial numbers
Anyone who believes they may have bought the defective condoms can refer to this website to check for the affected serial numbers.
However, so far, so good. Either anyone who experienced a mishap with the condoms has been too embarrassed to share, or the condoms are holding out well.
The Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) tells NOS that it hasn’t received any reports of broken condoms from users in the Netherlands yet.
