Summer is returning to the Netherlands again next week (no, really!)

This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill

Actual footage of me when I realised.

Summer is coming back to the Netherlands this weekend and into next week! Thank god for that. We thought it was all over for another year and the cold was starting to settle in. Thankfully it’s back and this time it’s not a mega heatwave, it’s pleasant heat and sunshine. So, DutchReview, if this is true, then where is the evidence?

Of course, it’s not quite the weather were used this year, but it’s the perfect weather and temperature to enjoy the great outdoors and even the beach. So here’s the lowdown of what’s going on this weekend and into next week.

Saturday

Saturday is the start of the nice weather and although it’s only just reaching the 20s, it’s going to get warmer as the days go on. It’s also going to be a sunny and bright day, with hardly a cloud in the sky. It’s going to get nippy in the night though, as temperatures drop to only 9 degrees Celcius.

Sunday

Sunday is going to get warmer, with temperatures reaching 23 degrees Celcius. It’s going to be another clear and bright day, with temperatures dropping by half throughout the night. But overall it’s definitely warm enough to lay in the sun on the beach! (Or maybe a trip to a theme park or a castle is in order?)

Next week

It’s slowly getting warmer again and the sun is still shining throughout the whole week. So far it looks like we are set for a beautiful week in the Netherlands. No doubt the rain will be back after this, so enjoy it!

What are your plans for the weekend and the week ahead? Let us know in the comments!
