After a new takeaway? Albert Heijn will start delivering hot food straight to your door from tomorrow

Albert Heijn hot food delivery

Forget pizza (but who doesn’t love pizza?) Albert Heijn is coming to the rescue when we have those food cravings and can’t be bothered to get out of bed. According to NU.nl, from tomorrow (Friday), Albert Heijn will be the first Dutch supermarket to deliver freshly made hot food to customers.

Albert Heijn has decided to do this because they are seeing a decline in their customers within their stores. They’re basically modernising the whole experience.

The bad news? So far this will only be in Amsterdam and we’re not sure yet when it will expand (fingers crossed it will soon), this is like a testing period. The hot food items will be delivered to your door by Deliveroo and Thuisbezorgd – so be sure to check the website if you’re in Amsterdam to see if it delivers to you!

That’s not all…

If you’re an IKEA fan like me, there’s more good news. IKEA has also announced a food delivery from their IKEA kitchens using Thuisbezorgd. This will be tested in Groningen, before branching out to other cities.

What a time to be alive.

What are your thoughts? Would you order? Let us know in the comments!
