Stabbing at Amsterdam Central Station was probably a terrorist attack – Two Americans hurt

The man who was arrested for the stabbing incident at Amsterdam Central is a 19-year-old Afghan with a German residence permit. A spokesman for the police says that they’re seriously considering that the attacker had a terrorist motive, and we all know that the police is extremely cautious with sending out these signals about such an attack.

Amsterdam Station attacker was shot in the lower guts

The first investigation by the police shows that the victims were stabbed randomly. The two are still seriously injured in the hospital but they’re out of immediate danger. The man was shot at his ‘Netherregion’ (yes, how appropriate). He is in the hospital under police surveillance and is being interrogated.

The police, local authorities and everybody else emphasized in a joint statement that at the moment all options are kept open in the investigation. The message also states that there is intensive contact with the German police about the perpetrator.

The victims of the attack were Americans

The two badly wounded victims of the stabbing at Amsterdam Central Station yesterday are Americans. The American embassy in the Netherlands has just announced this.

No news yet if this attack was inspired by Islamic State, or a nutcase upset by Wilders his canceled cartoon contest or just a random nutcase who turned out to be a Muslim.

There were only a few Islam related terrorist attacks in the Netherlands in the last decades, luckily this was no big one as well (rather a sad attempt and not a very professional one). But none the less let’s hope the victims get well soon as the police get to the bottom of this.

What are your thoughts about this possible terror attack at Amsterdam Central Station? Feel free to share but let’s keep it decent folks
