The Netherlands is nearing 20 degrees this weekend, as Dutch weather flips

Time to go outside and touch some grass

Over the upcoming days, you can expect bright sunshine and temperatures ranging from 2 to 6 degrees Celcius. 🌞

With spring just around the corner, there’s finally hope for spring-like weather, according to NOS.

Spring break with actual sunshine? Who would’ve thought? 😧

We’re off to a cold, but sunny start

Although we’ll still be waking up to frosty rooftops and chilly mornings, you can expect plenty of sunshine this afternoon (February 17)

In the north, temperatures will rise to 1 degree Celcius, while the south will enjoy slightly milder temperatures reaching 4 to 5 degrees.

Tuesday will be similar — the bright sunshine will remain, but we’ll likely see more clouds spreading across the country.

Morning temperatures will rise to just above freezing. By afternoon, however, temperatures will rise to 2 degrees Celcius in the north, while the south warms up to around 6 degrees.

A frosty start with a promising end

Later in the week, the Netherlands will tease us with some much-needed warm weather. 🤩

On Wednesday, winds will shift from east to south, bringing in warmer air.

Whilst temperatures might hover above zero during the early hours on Thursday, we’ll likely see double digits during the day!

Friday will remain dry with temperatures possibly reaching 17 degrees Celcius. (Let op: this is basically tanning weather for the Dutch. 👙😉)

The mild, dry weather will stretch to the weekend — with no rain in sight. Hoera!
