Nooo…the rain is set to return to the Netherlands!

Please don’t tell me the rain is back…

Well unfortunately it was bound to happen at some point, but the cold period is at an end and we are going to start seeing rain. Nooooo! Time to dust off those water proof coats again (it’s been a while).

Today

Today is by far the nicest day, with sunny spells, blue skies and warmer than we have been used to. Unfortunately, this means that the ice is going to melt. That’s the very end of skating on canals for god knows how many years (we hope not). Temperatures will reach 7 degrees celius.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be a cloudy day and sunny day for most of us, so thankfully no need for the coats just yet. Highs of 9 degrees celcius and lows of 3, which really should be considered a high to us as we have been used to temperatures below freezing!

Wednesday

RAIN! Heavy rain and sun. We probably don’t know what it even looks like anymore and we don’t want to either. The tulips and other planted flowers are probably beyond confused right now. Highs of 7 degrees celcius and lows of 1.

Thursday

A very similar day to Wednesday. Cloudy, rainy. Generally just miserable. Highs of 9 degrees celcius and lows of 3.

Friday

The rain is getting more persistent now – it’s basically chucking it down. Have fun cycling to work. 😉 Highs of 10 degrees celcius and lows of 3.

Weekend

The weekend is rainy af. To the point where I say to you now, just don’t go out, just don’t even bother, just don’t even think about it. Both days are basically persistent heavy rain. The only good news is that the temperatures are above 10 degrees celsius, which we haven’t felt in a while. Hopefully, you took my advice and got out this weekend. I have my mum coming to visit this weekend (sorry mum), welcome to Dutch weather. Next week isn’t looking so nice either…
