Code yellow warning for thunderstorms again in the Netherlands this afternoon

We’re set for yet another code yellow thunderstorm this afternoon – our third code yellow this week alone. Thankfully, this time around it’s likely only going to last for around an hour.

The weather has been a bit all over the place, which is no surprise when you live in unpredictable Holland and yet again after a nice and sunny morning, it’s all set to change for the afternoon. The thunderstorm will be sweeping across the country mid afternoon and for some of us, it will take until early evening for it to reach us. KNMI has informed us that it’s a code yellow, with a possibility for it rising to code orange in some parts of the country.

According to AD, we can expect gusts of wind up to 100km/hr and also hail.

This weekend

Thankfully we’re not set for any more weather warnings this weekend, although it will be gusty in places on Saturday. Sunday is also a bit ‘meh’ – it’s pretty overcast but still warm at least. We can expect temperatures exceeding 20 degrees all weekend.

Are you liking the thunderstorms? Or do you hate them? Let us know in the comments!
