YAAAAS! Duncan Laurence from the Netherlands wins the Eurovision 2019!

DOUZE POINTS For Duncan Laurence as the Netherlands grab victory at the Eurovision Songfestival of 2019!

Welcome to some completely biased coverage of the awesome victory of Duncan Laurence at Eurovision 2019 with his song ‘Arcade’.

YES! It’s so awesome, we haven’t won this since 1975 and Duncan clinched the victory in style. Duncan Laurence was the bookmakers’ favourite to win the contest, and came through to the top of the list with 492 points after the public vote (DOUZE POINTS thank you very much!).

Duncan Laurence with Arcade:

Time to enjoy it one more time again:

Obviously, no one care very much about the Songfestival – unless you win the thing. So everybody including us is as enthusiastic as can be. It’s also, in all honesty, great since music won and not some weird political act. Here’s an interview with our hero, we’re just going to enjoy ourselves now the rest of this Sunday!

See you all in the Netherlands next year!

Did you watch Duncan win the songfestival? Which other acts did you like?

Abuzer founded DutchReview a decade ago because he thought expats needed it and wanted to make amends for the Dutch cuisine. He has a Masters in Political Science and IT but somewhere always wanted to study history or good old football. He also a mortgage in the Netherlands and will happily tell you too how to get one. Born and raised in Rotterdam, Abuzer now lives in Leiden but is always longing back to his own international year in Italy.
