YAASSS ORANJELEEUWINNEN!! Dutch team goes to the WC Final in France after beating Sweden with 1-0

Our ladies have done it! It took some extra-time and a whole lot of extra-worldly saves by our goalie Van Veenendaal but our ladies beat Sweden with 1-0 after a goal by Groenen!

Who could have thought this at the beginning of the tournament? Not us, because the level of the Dutch team was mediocre at times in the first matches.

This match was tough as well at times, and we needed some luck against the Swedish ladies. But they pulled it all together, worked like champs and fought and brought home a 1-0 victory against Sweden.

The goalie Van Veenendaal was responsible for stopping the Swedes a couple of times, together with some Swedish efforts ending at the post.

Jackie Groenen scored in Extra Time with a great shot from 20m:

The ‘Oranje leeuwinnen’ will play against the US this upcoming Sunday at 5 in the afternoon. It wil surely be a day to remember!
