Here in Holland we’ve been blessed with some beautiful Friday sunshine, and the weather for this weekend is looking much the same. Praise the Gods and Goddesses!
According to Weerplaza, today has been the warmest 12th October ever recorded in the Netherlands. This afternoon, the temperature in Maastricht rose to 24.2 degrees Celcius, breaking records!
Saturday
And it only gets better. Tomorrow (Saturday), we can expect highs of 23-27 degrees Celcius. There shouldn’t be a cloud in sight. It is promised to be a “radiant day”. Hooray!
Time to cancel any plans you had to stay at home and vacate to the great outdoors. This is obviously not normal for October, so you might want to get out there and enjoy this heat whilst you still can…
Sunday
…because Sunday is looking not-so-hot. The temperature is expected to fluctuate a lot over the course of the day and there’s even a 50% of rain. After the weekend, the weather becomes all the more changeable and much colder, meaning we should try to take advantage of the sun whilst it’s still here. Let’s all join the crabbies at the beach tomorrow, eh?
October has been doing some strange things over here in the Netherlands. One thing’s for sure: the future looks bright (okay, maybe just the very near future). What are your plans for this Saturday?
This rhetoric is bad. Like it’s a great thing that were having the warmest (extremely unusual) weather ever. I know it’s amazing now, but how about 50 years? I am not blaming you. This kind of celebratory message is just a part of a very huge problem. Please rather set the agenda for people to be a bit worried as well
