Hurrrrraahhh, it’s the 26th April, meaning we only have one more day of work left to get through! As we know, the weather hasn’t made it’s mind up over the past few weeks and there has been worries that this King’s Day was going to be a wet one. Plus, you, me, DutchReview and the rest of us just love talking about the weather. This the perfect time to carry on the long-held tradition of moaning about it. So, what’s the weather going to be like on King’s day? Here’s a short weather forecast for 6 cities.
Pre-warning: the weather ain’t great, but it could be so much worse.
King’s day with my friends got me like…
What’s the weather going to be like on King’s Day in Amsterdam?
This is the main one and where most people flock too, but the weather is an iffy one. Amsterdam in general on this day is cloud, sun and outbreaks of heavy rain showers. Luckily these will be concentrated towards the end of the day, once it starts to get dark – so by that point, half of us will be too drunk to care. Highs of 14 and lows of 6 degrees celcius.
What’s the weather going to be like on King’s Day in Groningen?
Groningen is going to have similar weather to Amsterdam, however the rain is expected to start earlier, at around 4pm. These only appear to be small showers, so it shouldn’t get us too drenched. Other than that, it’s some sun and cloud and highs of 14 degrees celcius and lows of 6.
What’s the weather going to be like on King’s Day in Rotterdam?
Rotterdam has one of the better weather forecasts in Holland. For most of the day it will remain dry, yet a bit chilly. There is a chance of some small showers in the afternoon, but these are likely to go or not cause much of a stir. Sun and cloud, with highs of 15 and lows of 7 degrees celcius.
Us if it rains…
What’s the weather going to be like on King’s Day in Utrecht?
Utrecht has a dry day until around 6pm, where a rain shower is expected and then that is it. Dry again for the rest of the evening! It’s going to be a bit nippy for most of the day, with temperatures barely reaching 12 degrees celcius until about 3pm. Sun and cloud with highs of 15 degrees celcius and lows of 6.
What’s the weather going to be like on King’s Day in The Hague?
The Hague’s weather is almost identical to Utrecht’s, with a dry day and a chance of a shower at 6pm and then dry again – so it ain’t too shabby. Sun and cloud with highs of 15 degrees celcius and lows of 6.
What’s the weather going to be like on King’s Day in Eindhoven?
Eindhoven by far has the best weather in the country with more sunny spells, less of a chance of rain (apart from a possible small shower at 9pm), and temperatures at 17 degrees celcius. So you know where you need to go to this King’s day if you want the best weather. 😉
Have fun guys and don’t go too mad!
