Court rules: Ratelband (69) will remain 69 years of age, despite pleas to lower his age

Emile Ratelband’s request to change his date of birth was rejected. According to the court, the law offers no room to assign a change to his formal age.

Ratelband (69) wanted to lower his age by twenty years because he says he feels much younger and – even lower – score more tinder-matches.

However, a request to that effect at the civil registry of the municipality of Arnhem was rejected today. Ratelband did not agree obviously, because people can also change their name and their gender.
