Hermien the cow is finally captured!

The nations favourite cow is now free to live in peace at a rest house

Hermien the cow has finally been rescued from the woods, it was reported on Sunday night. She was eventually tranquillised by a vet, and her owner, Herman (not obvious where the name Hermien came from…) is having her back today. She will then be on her way to a retirement home to live in peace (and not be a burger).

The clever little cow managed to evade capture for 2 months. She lived alone in the woods, after escaping whilst on her way to a slaughter house. Not even a human could pull that off! She ended up annoying residents by breaking fences and walking along the roads, who can blame her?

Amazingly, The Party for the Animals raised around €50.000 through crowdfunding to keep Hermien and her buddy Zus (who also escaped but was caught right away) in a rest house. It’s good news all round, we can rest assured that the cows will have a nice life. Awwww…

In case you’ve been living in a cave for a while (or the woods haar haar), and have no idea what we’re talking about then you should probably read this.
