From The Hague to Paris in 30 minutes via Hyperloop

Soon it might be possible to travel from The Hague to Paris in 30 minutes via hyperloop! The Netherlands has always been known for its innovation, and it looks like the Dutch aren’t stopping any time soon. Here is everything you need to know about this new ambitious project.

What is hyperloop?

A hyperloop is a new proposed method of transportation, first proposed by Tesla and Space X. It is a sealed system of tubes in which a pod may travel free of any air resistance or friction. This would allow for people and objects to travel at high speeds up to 1200 kilometers per hour , and would be the fastest mode of transport to date. This futuristic concept of transportation is becoming more popular, and the world can’t wait to see how hyperloop will change the way we travel. Well, it seems like people in The Hague may be one of the first to experience this unique way of transport.

From The Hague to Paris in 30 minutes via hyperloop

On Thursday the city council of The Hague will be discussing a plan to set up a hyperloop knowledge center as quickly as possible. This would allow them to start a case study with TU Delft on how to create faster connection between The Hague and Paris, as well as The Hague and Düsseldorf. The idea is for The Hague to apply for subsidies through the European Union and the government. This will allow for the city of The Hague to gain a better competitive position. The success of this project will attract more companies and institutions, as well as make The Hague more accessible.

The researchers form TU Delft have already been working on this project for some time. The university already has a small track where experiments are being carried out. The team also participates in international competitions for the development of hyperloop.
