The Netherlands can expect a run of balmy, late-summer weather next week, with temperatures up to 25 degrees.
But first, we need to deal with a grey, drizzly weekend. Here’s what to know, based on weather reports from Weeronline.
Expect light rain and moderate temperatures
Saturday, September 19, kicks off our blustery weekend mostly dry and cloudy. By afternoon, however, light drizzle will drift in from the west — so you’ll want to keep an umbrella handy.
Temperature-wise, you can expect highs of 19 to 20 degrees Celsius in the north, nudging up to 22 degrees in the south.
Come evening, things turn properly soggy, as a more active rain system moves across the country from west to east. Some parts of the country can expect to cop up to 10mm of rain, as a stiff wind keeps temperatures hovering around 14 degrees Celsius.
Sunday, September 20, will be drier. Some rain will still fall in the south and southeast, but it’ll clear up by afternoon. Thanks to a moderate westerly wind, temperatures will reach 17 to 19 degrees.
Then comes nazomer
A high-pressure system is forecast to move our way next week, bringing plenty of sunshine and dry, windless days.
During the first half of the week, temperatures will hover around 19 to 22 degrees. Later on in the week, Weeronline reports that we could even experience up to 25 degrees locally.
But if you’re heading out at night, you may want to bundle up. Nights will be considerably cooler, with minimum temperatures likely to drop below 10 degrees Celsius on occasion.
