The Sun and Summer are coming this weekend to the Netherlands!

After a week where it seemed like summer had skipped us and it was already fall, it looks like things are finally looking up! Here is what the weather will be like this weekend, with suggestions to some fun activities.

Friday

Things are already looking better starting Friday. According to the weather forecast it is going to be 17 degrees Celsius. Spring is officially back! No rain is expected, but keep that umbrella close by just in case. This Friday is also Remembrance Day in the Netherlands, meaning there will be multiple ceremonies in the major cities. Furthermore, at exactly 20:00 there will be two minutes of silence, so remember to be mindful of the people around you. Other than that, Friday is just the beginning to a great and sunny weekend!

Saturday

Now Saturday is when the fun begins! With a forecast of 20 degrees Celsius and not a cloud in the sky (hopefully), Saturday is gonna be one heck of a warm day. To make things even better, Saturday is also Liberation Day in the Netherlands, meaning parties and celebrations everywhere! Because the best way to celebrate freedom is under the warm summer(ish) sun with a cold beer in your hand.

Sunday

By Sunday all the partying will be over, however the weather will still be amazing. With the promise of 22 degrees Celsius, Sunday will be perfect for leisure activities that won’t make you break a sweat. Enjoy a walk by the beach, enjoy a day in the park, or just stay home with all the windows open. Sunday will be all about relaxation in preparation for the upcoming week.

Bonus round: Monday

We’re not sure if having good weather on Monday is either a good thing or a bad thing, but facts are facts. With a forecast of 23 degrees Celsius, Monday is set out to be a very warm day. Now as hard as it may be to have good weather on a day you’re stuck at work, look at it from the bright side. That probably means that the good weather is finally here to stay! Also, you’ll probably feel even more sad when it’s 24 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, but let’s just take it one step at a time.

What are your plans for the weekend? Let is know of any fun actives you’ll be participating in.
