Finally! The temperatures are getting cooler in the Netherlands this week

It just wouldn’t feel right if we didn’t talk about the weather 24/7 here at DutchReview. However, for the first time in a while, I bring you some good weather news (if you aren’t a fan of the humidity I mean). It’s finally going to start to cool down and we may even see some rain!

Really, DutchReview?!

…and yes, now we can take our shirts off and actually feel cooler, rather than wanting to peel our skin off. 😉

So, tell me about the weather!

I thought you’d never ask. 😉 Well, Today (Tuesday) should be the last hot day we see for a week at least. It will reach 35 degrees Celcius today and boy don’t we know it. (I currently have a fan blowing hot air full-blown into my face as I write this).

After today we will get back to the usual Dutch summers and we are looking at temperatures between 21 – 25 degrees Celcius, with outbreaks of rain. However, don’t get too excited – the rainfall is not expected to take us out of a drought just yet. Yet still, this must be one of the only times people won’t moan (including us) about the rain.

People everywhere in the Netherlands will congregate outside and celebrate. Or probably not…

It is unclear whether this weather is here to stay, but we know for sure that we aren’t expecting lots of heavy rainfall this month, so the drought is going to continue. I guess at least now it will be the right temperature to carry on with our lives and not wish for air con. We’ve finally made it through this wacky summer!

P.S. Don’t panic, it’s still warm enough to go to the beach. 😉

How do you feel about this weather change? Good or bad? Let us know in the comment section!
