Spring showers are here: Rainy Netherlands for the next week!

Rain…

Oh dear, just when we thought we were out of the woods – the rain starts again. At least we have something to be happy about – the clocks have gone forward so it’s going to be lighter, warmer and lots and lots of tulips! Lets take a quick look at traditional Dutch weather for the next week.

Life.

Today (Monday)

What a beautiful day! Much of the country is sunny and warm and it’s only going to get better as the evening draws in. It’s going to be a beautiful and clear end to the day. So get your walking or biking shoes on and enjoy it – it’s not going to get dark till gone 8pm!

Tomorrow

Ah. Here we go. Throughout the whole day there is going to be heavy rain showers, a consistent heavy drizzle, with a chance of some dry spells (but sadly not sunny ones). Highs of 8 degrees celcius and lows of 3 on this day.

Wednesday

Wednesday is going to have the worst weather all week, with heavy downpours all day. Noooooo. Better leave your beloved fiets at home and save yourself the misery of a wet cycle. Highs of 7 degrees celcius and lows of 6 – so it’s going to remain the same temperature throughout the day.

Thursday

This is going to be one of those days where you don’t know if you’re coming or going. Sun, rain, cloud, sun, rain, cloud (not in that order). So basically a very traditional Dutch weather kind of day. Highs of 10 degrees celcius and lows of 4.

Friday

Today is a similar day to Thursday, however with more outbreaks of rain and more cloud. Another day that you’re likely to get wet. Do you really wanna risk the cycle? Are you sure? Yeah, just go for it. It’s Friday anyway. The week is almost over! Highs of 11 degrees celcius and lows of 3 on this day.

Weekend

Honestly, the weekend is looking just as manic. Rain, sun, clouds. It doesn’t know what it’s doing at the moment. Let us just wait and hope that the rain pees off and we can enjoy another lovely and sunny weekend!
