So much has been said and written about dating the Dutch. But most of it seems to focus on dating Dutch men, rather than women. And while we’re not sure of the reason for this phenomenon, we can definitely give you many reasons why dating a Dutch man is a good idea.
But just to list a few – they are tall, good looking, know how to manage their finances, and most of them are all up for equality. But while this may all sound great, there are a few things that take foreigners by surprise on their initial dates with a Dutch man.

The Dutch are also very busy people, so be prepared to sometimes plan a date weeks ahead (totally not romantic, I know!). So by learning just a few key phrases you can always impress your person of interest with some Dutch pick-up lines. And don’t be too scared if you’re Dutch accent is not on point!
