The weather this week in the Netherlands is going to get quite chilly, which is understandable considering it is officially autumn now! It’s time to say goodbye to summer! Here is what we can expect over the following days.
(The 23rd of September is considered the first day of autumn)
Today (Monday)
Autumn is one of the most beautiful and colorful seasons. It is also one of the most confusing ones. And unless you’ve been living under a Dutch rock, it’s a bit hard to miss how bipolar the weather is today. One minute the sun is shining and its warm, the next it’s raining and you’re freezing. With the highest temperature at 15 degrees Celsius, today will be a typical autumn day. But you know what that means – you can finally put on your fuzziest sweater, make yourself a nice hot tea, and enjoy some autumn tranquility by the window.
Tuesday
Tomorrow we are pretty much looking at the same autumn picture. Some sunshine, some clouds, and 15 degrees Celsius. As the leaves start falling more and more, it’s the perfect time to go to a park after work and just take in all the colors.
Wednesday
On Wednesday the weather is going to be slightly better. While the sky will still be a mixture between a whole lot of clouds and a little bit of sunshine, at least the highest temperature will reach 18 degrees Celsius. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for any cute activities around you. Animals tend to act extremely adorable during the autumn season.
Thursday
Thursday is going to be the best day of the week. We are expecting a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and nothing but sunshine! The perfect day to take out your pet for a walk, and watch as they enjoy jumping around it the leaves (plus, there will be no puddles for them to have an impromptu mud bath).
Friday
And on Friday we’ll be back to 15 degrees Celsius. We will also go back to a little bit of sunshine, and a little bit of clouds. At this point we’ll have to completely bury the hopes of higher temperatures and just accept that fall has officially come.
So make sure to go out as much as possible during the week, because the weather can quickly go from this…
